I remember Santorum in a debate saying something about reversing the open gays in the military.
Have any other candidates said anything about the issue?
Perry was opposed to repeal, since repeal has continued to say it was a policy that was working but Obama wanted to end it for political reasons to please his base.
He was confronted by a young woman at an Iowa townhall who said she resented his ad that says “gays can serve openly in the military but children can’t pray in school” because if Perry had his way he would prevent her serving if she wanted to serve, because “I’m openly bi-sexual”. (Isn’t that special?)
He said his belief is, homosexuality is a sin...not worse than sinning in other ways but a sin...he opposes the sin but does not hate the sinner...he thinks it’s a bad policy to allow gays to serve openly and still supports DADT.
