Doesn’t matter. The republicans have lost the PR war on this one, badly. We can argue all day what is the right approach, but 75% of the public now believes the republicans blocked the payroll tax reduction.
What a big screw up between the Repubs in the house and senate. Got to look at the long term here. They are going to fool around and get Obama re-elected in 2012.
Get the best deal you can for 2012, and get through the election. Hopefully gain control of presidency, house and senate. Then do what needs to be done.
Boehner is a pretty weak leader.
If the current group of idiots in the democrat party can run rings around the GOP leadership, under the sh*tty economic conditions prevelant in the country today, then conservatives don’t have a prayer of turning things around - ever.
