She is the best candidate we could have....

________________________________________

Really, based on what? Certainly not her record...

She did a lousy job as mayor of a town with fewer than 6500 residents. Her botching of a simple land purchase (cost - $250K) led to years of delay, a lost law suit, the exercise of eminent domain and a final price tag of nearly $2 million.

She raised the town sales tax.

She increased the town's budget by 50% (bigger government).

She inherited $1 million in long-term debt and grew it to $20 million by the time she left office.

As a half-term governor she committed the people of Alaska to a $500 million (that's right - half a billion) contribution to the much touted pipelin construction --- and three years later there isn't even a contract to build it in place.

And, let's not forget the windfall profit tax that she imposed on oil companies - a non-negotiated, uni-lateral tax that was in addition to the existing corporate tax and the existing oil revenue sharing royalty program.

Please explain why that makes her the best we could have.

“Really, based on what? Certainly not her record...”

Based on the other candidates. Gingrich is an internationalist, and a futurist. He holds to “Toffler’s book the Third Wave”
************************************************************
excerpt from Google on Toffler’s books, Future Shock and the Third Wave. ...

“Since the 1960s, people have been trying to make sense out of the impact of new technologies and social change. Toffler’s writings have been influential beyond the confines of scientific, economic and public policy discussions. Techno music pioneer Juan Atkins cites Toffler’s phrase “techno rebels” in The Third Wave as inspiring him to use the word “techno” to describe the musical style he helped to create[8] Toffler’s works and ideas have been subject to various criticisms, usually with the same argumentation used against futurology: that foreseeing the future is nigh impossible.

In the 1990s, his ideas were publicly lauded by Newt Gingrich.

The development Toffler believes may go down as this era’s greatest turning point is the creation of wealth in outer space. Wealth today, he argues, is created everywhere (globalisation), nowhere (cyberspace), and out there (outer space). Global positioning satellites are key to synchronising precision time and data streams for everything from cellphone calls to ATM withdrawals. They allow just-in-time (JIT) productivity because of precise tracking. GPS is also becoming central to air-traffic control. And satellites increase agricultural productivity through tracking weather, enabling more accurate forecasts.

Two major predictions of Toffler’s—the paperless office and human cloning—have yet to be realized.”

Newt is a closet liberal posing as a conservative. Observe .. he talks a great speech but hr does something else. Thoroughly check it out.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sarah is best ... for the reasons I stated before, she is conservative, she holds to the Constitution. She has Christian values, She is not a corrupt Washington long time politician, she is not afraid to challenge the embedded power structure. She increased the funds from the oil companies and distributed ‘increased yearly checks’ to the people of Alaska every year.
There is no action, word, deed, that can not be twisted by the liberal medias and all the radical progressive liberals. If you want to live under communism, or in a Stalin type of tyranny go to Russia. Putin is coming back and as a former KGB officer he has no compunction to starving the people, keeping them as slaves and having a totalitarian form of government.
I have a cousin in Anchorage, about 78 years of age, he is a democrat, retired now he was a FFA inspector of some sort for 20 years or more and was in the navy. He says Sarah did a wonderful job as Mayor, and as governor, and he has watched her closely since she first appeared on the scene politically. He thinks she is great. He knows her parents, etc.
Sarah is a real truthful person with morals and good common sense, and strength of character. She would appoint a Conservative to the Supreme Court when it comes up again.
