“Soon we’ll be hearing sob stories about how North Philly is a “food desert,” about how none of the big supermarket chains will open there because of racisim, about how residents of the area have to drive miles in order to buy the necessities of life.”

Very funny; Newark, NJ is one such “food desert”. A few years ago a chain supermarket opened there; it was the first one in decades. The residents would loot & pillage in the surrounding suburbs, filling the courts with shoplifters. In the meantime, they have an obesity epidemic and every fast food you can imagine at their fingertips.

Tell ‘em’’ Kearny’’. My older brother managed the Shop-Rite in our old home down right across the Passaic River from Newark for years and the stories he told me. Carloads of blacks loading up, some paid, some shop-lifted most always bitchin’ about having to travel so far and always putting it down to ‘;’whitey don’t want to come to Newark’’.
