How does one influence top Republicans when one is NOT a lobbyist with money to throw around?

Let's be real. You don't get $1.6 million sweetheart consulting contracts without some quid pro quo. The revolving door in Washington is well known. Freddie Mac was paying for Newt's contacts, access, and knowledge of the system. Crony capitalism and influence peddling are the norm. Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae have been used as sinecures for Dem politicians like Franklin Raines, Rahm Emmanuel, and Jamie Gorelick to obtain millions of dollars. These GSEs should be broken up and eliminated.

I heard it was the total for about 10 years, is that true?

He said he only received a portion of that money.

If that is true divided over 10 years is 160,000 Dollars a year. Is that a lot of money for a consultant company to receive? Would that be like a sweetheart deal?

Just asking...
