Freddie Mac was paying for Newt's contacts, access, and knowledge of the system. Crony capitalism and influence peddling are the norm. Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae have been used as sinecures for Dem politicians like Franklin Raines, Rahm Emmanuel, and Jamie Gorelick to obtain millions of dollars. These GSEs should be broken up and eliminated.

If that is true divided over 10 years is 160,000 Dollars a year. Is that a lot of money for a consultant company to receive? Would that be like a sweetheart deal?
