Check out this interesting story: Updated: 13 SC Tea Party Leaders Blast Bachmann Tactics Patch Nearly a month after a SC spokesman for Rep. Michele Bachmann accused Newt Gingrich of trying to buy off the states Tea Party leaders by bringing them on as staffers, more than a dozen of the movements leaders are fighting back.
In a strongly worded letter issued Friday afternoon, 13 leaders of the SC Tea Party movement accused her of attacking the tea party movement by accusing tea party supporters of Newt Gingrich of being bought off and said she has escalated the battle by making it national news by discussing it with John King on CNN Wednesday night.
Now that Michele Bachmann herself has decided to throw fuel on the fire, and this issue has become national news, we as leaders within the South Carolina tea party movement feel we must speak out to defend our integrity, reads the letter, which was circulated on Twitter and on at least one Tea Party website.
They accuse Bachmann of trying to divide the Tea Party movement, and defended Gingrich, who has said time and again that the only real opponent is President Barack Obama

Well, that certainly wasn’t a reply I expected, lol.
I am actually not a maroon..I know that Tina Fey made that comment...not Sarah.
That being said, Michele has gone on immediate attack to any one who gained any traction. Oh, she’s tapped Myth a couple of times, but not hard..not like she has the others.
I assume you disagree?

I had one cornered this morning but it may have been a Paulite.
They won’t tell you why who they are supporting but they post
Trash on Newt or perry.
If you accept, as most do, that it’s a four person race now, she’s doing what she has to do and running against the four.
This is how primaries work. Candidates run against each other, if you think she’s taken it too far, then don’t vote for her, but don’t blame her for playing the game.
Mean old bitch. That’s why she fights all the battles but never wins. None too saavy.
I first mentioned a week or so back that someone had showed up at our little tea party breakfast He claimed to be an Allegan county GOP chair and member of the tea party patriots.
The tea party patriots in Allegan said he didn’t belong to them and that he isn’t the GOP chair for their county.
He started out OK talking taxes and regulation but then complained that the party had redistricted a good conservative out of our district. (Super RINO Joe ‘abort em all’ Schwarz) He said we should consider more structure for our meetings and was trying to get contact numbers from us.
I’ve spoken of this in the forum a few times over that last few days but I’m fixin to go to bed. If anybody wants to dig around in my posting history to find it, it will be there.
Interesting, Newt bought his face book following, now key teaparty people... Money guy.
Looked at the voting record spreadsheet, Bachman is the best for conservatives.
I think the Paulweeds, Bachmannites and Romnisphere have joined forces.
They support nobody but attack everybody relentlessly.
‘And by their fruits shall ye know them’.
I totally agree with you that the timing is strange.
I’m not going to swear to anything these days, but I think you and I are on the same page about this topic?
I warned about this over a week ago. If either Newt or Romney hijack the Tea Party, the Tea Party is OVER.
She is not running for the top spot .
She is beyond damaged goods.
She is hoping Mittens will repay for her
Vile attacks on Perry, Cain.and Newt.
I came to 5 meetings, gave a lecture on federalism and volunteered to be database administator. One day I'm notified that I'm the new district captain, and I need to make contact with someone who is the state leader. How he got to be state leader I don't know.
It's similar to a passenger rail advocacy group I joined in '97. Six months later I'm on the board, and a year after that I'm the president. It's kind of an ad hoc thing.
mittbots blech
It can be boiled down that FEDZILLA has pooled resources to kill off the two 10th Amendment guys, and they’re going scorched-earth about it.
And before you toss out wild accusations, you'd better go look at your own Krishna parade, who relentless attacked and then danced with joy when Cain left the race. You krishnas have bad mouthed every single front runner, now including Newt.
Sad news, folks.
I received a Tea Party email promoting Newt on December 6, well before this last debate.
The lightweight and newbies have started endorsing either Mittens or Newtems.
The establishment is offering carrots and sticks. The prospect of a political career with Republican party backing, or being left out in the cold.
Some of the Tea Party official groups that I get emails from are showing that they’re becoming simply an arm of the establishment.
Whatever, dudes, I’m not listening any more to the “organizers”.
Seems for the last 2 years they loved Michele in Congress fighting their battles.
Now, when it comes down to it, principles don’t matter, getting a President elected is what matters.
What good can Tea Party Congress members do if the establishment takes the WH and we’re down to what ? Maybe a couple dozen of the whole 2010 “freshman class” of Reps is not bought off at this point, worrying about their re-election and obeying their establishment “mentors” so they can “make a difference” “down the road”.
Didn’t they see Mr. Smith Goes to Wash ? Can’t they see they’re going to wind up being Claude Rains ? And that there is NO POINT.
If we wanted a bought-off party-establishment horse-trader - WE WOULD NOT HAVE NEEDED TO HAVE THE TEA PARTY OF 2010.
Bleechh indeed.
There were rumors a year ago that Mitts minions were infiltrating the Tea Party. There are only two candidates who have the money to peddle influence, and one who has made a career of it.
Krishna parade, who relentless attacked and then danced with joy when Cain left the race.
SecDef may not be it, but there are good places for Cain.
All I can say is, follow the money.
Which candidates have the most money in their war chest?
