Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) landed in hot water on Friday for his remarks the previous day comparing the Democrats proficiency in getting out their message to the notorious head of the Nazi Partys propaganda department under Hitler.
If Joseph Goebbels was around, hed be very proud of the Democrat Party, because they have an incredible propaganda machine, West said Thursday.
Rep. John Conyers Jr. (D-Mich.) sent West a note expressing his disappointment in the remark. I beg of you to help raise the level of congressional discourse in vigorous debate without resort to personal attacks, Conyers wrote in a handwritten note first obtained by Politico.
Wests remarks came even as Democrats and Republicans scrambled to reach a bipartisan agreement on a spending bill necessary to continue funding the government into the new year.

If you repeat a lie often enough, it becomes the truth. If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.
Yep, Geobbel's would be proud of the modern day Democratic Spin Machine.

And the problem with that statement is....???

". . . Conyers wrote in a handwritten note first obtained by Politico."How convenient!!!

Dear Congressman West:
I beg of you to help raise the level of congressional discourse in vigorous debate without comparing us to Nazis, in particular Josef Goebbels.”
Sincerely,
Hermann Goering

The Democrats have been comparing our side to Nazis for years. I recall one incident in particualar in which a Democrat Congressman or Senator accused the Republicans of acting like Nazis during an open committee hearing.
I don’t remember a single call for an apology from anyone at the time, nor do I remember any apology being offered.

No challenge to the ACCURACY of the statement; just embarassment that they are called out on it.
Why don't they "come out of the closet", like their constituency?

West should immediately release the following statement:
"I am sorry that Joseph Goebbels would be very proud of the Democrat Party, because they have an incredible propaganda machine."

Politico, Obama, Conyers, Wasserman, Reid, Pelosi, etc. would be in perfect company with Hitler’s mouthpiece, NAZI, Joseph Goebbels, etc. No apology needed or necessary. The truth hurts, but.....the truth is still the truth!!!

‘Proud’ was an unfortunate use of words. ‘Jealous’ would have been better.

Flashback:
“Rep. Steve Cohen stands by Nazi comments”
“Tennessee Democratic Rep. Steve Cohen stood by comments he made on the House floor late Tuesday night in which he used a Nazi comparison to discuss Republicans who call the health care law a government takeover, but insisted he was making a point about lying, not trying to insinuate that Republicans were Nazis.
It wasnt about Nazis, it was about lies, Cohen told The Daily Caller Wednesday. The biggest liar, the biggest political liar was Goebbels. Politifact called this the biggest lie of the year. If you dont stand up and say lies are lies, they stand for the truth. Somebody has to come out and say theyre lies. Politifact did and I cited Politifact. I have no problem with that.

Joseph Goebbels learned his methods from an American progressive Democrat named Edward Bernays. Bernays book, “Crystallizing Public Opinion” was a prized possession that Goebbels showed off to all when showing his library.

Goebbels was more honorable than today's Democrats -- he was completely honest about his contempt for "inferior races." Democrats lie about it with rhetoric about "working families."

Amazingly enough, Conyers often speaks the truth. He just doesn't hold to it.
Weve got to educate the American people at the same time we educate the President of the United States. The Republicans, Speaker Boehner or Majority Leader Cantor did not call for Social Security cuts in the budget deal. The President of the United States called for that,
