No running in the halls -- and no Tebowing either. That's what one Long Island administration said Wednesday when it suspended a group of high school athletes for replicating Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow's popular pose in the hallway at school. Jordan Fulcoly, Wayne Drexel and brothers Tyler and Connor Carroll of Riverhead High School were all handed a one-day suspension Wednesday, after three days of taking a knee with their foreheads resting on their fists, the same way Tebow does in the end zone and on the sidelines. The news was first reported by Yahoo! Prep Rally earlier Thursday. Riverhead superintendent Nancy Carney said that two of the students suspensions were later rescinded, citing that administrators found that those students were not given the same warnings that the other two were. Tebow has made headlines for the move, a display of his devotion to his Christian faith. The students were not suspended for bringing religion into the school, but instead for clogging the hallway.

give them a prayer room,or the auditorium the same way they do for the islamics.
and yes they most certainly do this for them in some public schools, right along with excused lateness.
The fact that students are punished for this is proof we’ve become a purely secularistic culture. America is finished. The last civilized person to leave, turn out the lights.
I was a high school student in the early 1970s... and I’m a teacher now. Here’s my advice.
Do the Tebow stance every day. Gather together as many students as you can and do it en masse. Go to detention and do it in the detention hall. Then do it again as soon as you get back to class. Keep doing it. Never give up.
And also....
Create a Facebook page mocking your school.
Create a Twitter account and record your every movement.
Contact those in the media who are sympathetic.
Write, publish, photograph, and act out in the community to demonstrate your opinion of what the school is doing.
Write a book, write a poem, write some rap - and publish it.
I’m so tired of the left being able to tell the community what is acceptable and what is not. We need to use the tools and techniques of the left against them. We need to retake the culture and country from them. And, yes, they’ll be vicious in response, but that’s the breaks. Sometimes you have to stand up and fight for what is right.
IMHO
Do high schoolers ever get banned for doing liberal things?
BTTT! Flash it. Our kids might be brainwashed, but they aren’t all stupid. Obama flashes his gang sign, we return our ‘gang’ sign.
Bang, bang!
You’ve never been in a hallway crowded with students going to class, have you? —at least not in recent memory, anyway. Do you know what happens when hallways clog? It’s an opportunity for fights to erupt, for on thing. Your comment is thoughtless. Actually, “ignorant” is a better word.
I’d say that blocking the hallway and interfering with others to gratify their own personal desires is pretty liberal, wouldn’t you? OW does it.
Really?? Disciplining students for blocking crowded hallways is the end of America?
I doubt it.
Yep. I'd say this is far from any kind of sudden outbreak of faith. The little darlings are cruelly mocking the expression of faith.
Name-calling is your best response? Pitiful.
No. Just truth.
