I think Megyn gave Newt a fastball down the middle and he hit a grand slam. Just the threat of holding the courts accountable is important in reminding the people that the courts do not rule us.
I remember W. appointed Michael Mukasey because Charles Schumer publicly warned him not to nominate a conservative after Gonzalez (another weak AG) was replaced. Megyn fed Newt some red meat to chew on. I don’t think she was baiting him to hurt him. On the contrary, she gave him his best chance to preach constitutionalism and he lit the place up.
