I’m really getting tired of Bitchele Machmann.

She couldn’t get elected to a statewide office, let alone the White House.

She’s a back-bencher in Congress and not a very effective one at that.

So what if he did not technically lobby. He was selling influence, period. He was being paid to get the Republicans who were trying to dismantle Freddie and Fannie, or strengthen regulation of them at the least, to CAVE.

Yes, Newt was being paid to try to get conservatives on Capitol Hill to CAVE on Freddie and Fannie. Oh, and it sorta worked. And if it hadn't worked, maybe we would not have had the housing crash or even PRESIDENT OBAMA.

Wowzer.

And Newt is living in dreamland if he thinks the people he worked with at Freddie are not going to turn on him chapter and verse if he gets the nomination -- especially after saying "You ought to start with Barney Frank,” when talking about people to put in jail, Gingrich said, referring to the Massachusetts congressman who’s the top Democrat on the House Financial Services Committee. “Go back and look at the lobbyists he was close to at Freddie Mac,” Gingrich said in the debate, sponsored by Bloomberg News and the Washington Post.

"Look at the lobbyists"?

Freddie sources have already disputed Newt's version of the work he did for them. And since he's suggesting their lobbyists -- people his consultancy was SUPPORTING -- should go to jail, you can be sure they will be heard when they feel the time is right.
