I disagree. Having Santorum fly the flag for conservatism keeps the others honest, and it makes the others look more palatable to independents. That’s why I ultimately donated to him — I have no illusions about him being nominated, but having him present as long as possible has other tangible benefits. Besides, I’d really like to turn him loose on Iran in whatever administration we do end up with.
