I’m sorry, but the majority of comments in this thread are just pure horsecr*p.

Michele Bachmann is CLEARLY, CLEARLY, the most consistent conservative individual on the stage. It’s disgusting to watch what is happening to this woman. Everything many here have b*tched about happening to Governor Palin, that is, being accused of being stupid, ignorant, crazy, shrill, is being heaped upon Bachmann, by so called “conservatives”.

The left and MSM have taught you people well to eat one of your own. Alfonzo Rachel of PJTV was spot on.

She DESTROYED Ron Paul tonight on Foreign Policy. Not that that is difficult to do, but did so effectively.

In regards to the “attacks” on Gingrich, get over it. Gingrich SAID he supports some type of program garnered towards making housing more affordable. That’s BIG GOVERNMENT. The GSE’s of Fannie/Freddie should be closed and Michele was right for pointing that out. And don’t give me this cr*p about Newt not being a lobbyist. You know d*mn well what he was doing and that contract was written specifically in the way it was to skirt around the lobbying rules. Nobody is kidding anyone here.

SECONDLY, in regards to the defunding of PP and partial-birth abortion issues, it’s no secret Newt is a “BIG TENT REPUBLICAN” (he has even said so). She called him out because he refused to stop supporting candidates that would not oppose these measures. Does Dede Scozzafava from last year ring a bell?

Face it. Some of you here don’t like Bachmann because her name doesn’t happen to be Sarah Palin. Well, I’m sorry. Bachmann decided to run. Palin did not. And right now, she’s fighting against a “good ole boys” club that wants to put her in her place.

The best moment for Bachmann, though, came when she finally stood up for herself and said that she had had enough of this cr*p with “not having her facts straight”. She d*mn well did. Get over it.

I KNOW in a debate against Obama, this woman would rip him a new one. Why? Because I know she is effective at attacking and defending her position. And she doesn’t have to worry about playing two sides of the issue like Newt and Romney try to do, because she is already on the right side.

SHAME ON YOU! Shame on all of you that continue to call this woman shrill, crazy eyes, and stupid. You are no better than the leftist MSM when you do that. It is YOU who are the true hypocrits when it comes to Reagan’s 11th. YOU only acknowledge that rule when it benefits YOU.

Keep polishing the turd that is Newt Gingrich if you want to, but as for me, I will continue to adhere to my conservative principles and support the candidate that I not only agree with, but with whom I also can trust. I stand with Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin, who I know are a H*ll of a lot smarter and possess better judgement than most here. I challenge all of you Bachmann haters with your personal attacks on her as being stupid, crazy-eyed, shrill, insane, to call Rush and Mark and voice that on the open airwaves. Come on, I’m waiting, I’m sure they’d let you to the front of the phone lines. Because I know that if you said that cr*p about Bachmann to them that you spew here, you would be laughed off the air. Go ahead, call them, I dare you.

18 days to the Iowa Caucuses. I really hope these people get it right and actually let a conservative win.

So, not many disagree with you. However, reality has it there’s a small chance of her getting the nomination...if she does not, are you staying home and helping Obama or voting for the “R” no matter who it is?

I just watched the debate which I’d taped. I agree that the various attacks on Bachmann were not well founded, especially those that criticized her appearance. she looked great.

She frankly doesn’t have a chance in my opinion, but she sure got a lot of time last night. Perhaps the moderators thought she would stir things up a little and she did.

Newt talked so fast it sounded manic. He needs to slow down and sound more statesmanlike. He doesn’t need to tell everything he knows in every response. But he did get the most attacks and deflected most of them pretty well.

I liked Perry’s answers a lot but he was horribly ignored for much of the evening. I began to wonder if he was there ... they seem to be trying to destroy him by inattention.

Even Huntsman and Paul got more time and they are non-factors.

I didn’t think this debate was particularly meaningful. Most of those issues had been brought up before.

I thought Perry was particularly good on the border and the dangers of not only illegal Mexicans but terrorists being able to slip in.

I thought Newt was good on the tyranny of judges which is rampant and destructive in the country, and Perry’s idea of term limits for all judges is one I support wholeheartedly.

I think most of the candidates are pro-life and the rest is nit picking.

Glad I watched it because it’s so obvious that if one was already for Newt, he did great and so on.

Newt is glib and informed but I found myself getting sick of the sound of his voice.

I won’t be horribly depressed if he gets the nomination.

I think it may be down to Newt or Perry at this point and I much prefer Perry.

Why I would NEVER support Bachmann. She tried to screw our veterans.

http://thinkprogress.org/politics/2011/01/28/141412/bachmann-veterans/

In her tea party-fueled quest to cut government spending and social programs, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) has unveiled a plan to cut $400 billion in federal spending that includes freezing the Veterans Affairs Department’s health care spending and cuts veterans’ disability benefits. The Air Force Times reports her plan would slice $4.5 billion from the VA, including reducing 150,000 veterans’ disability compensation and the amount they receive in Social Security Disability Income.A host of veterans groups slammed Bachmann’s plan:

–Veterans of Foreign War national commander Richard L. Eubank said, “The only discussion the VFW wants is to tell the congresswoman that her plan is totally out of step with America’s commitment to our troops.

Bachmann has House’s 11th WORST record for missed votes...she is not fulfilling her duties to her constituents
Of 435 members of the U.S. House of Representatives, only ten have missed more votes this session than Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann, according to the Washington Post’s tally. Bachmann has missed 105 votes, or 13.6 percent of all votes. Fellow Republican Rep. Erik Paulsen had the state’s best record, missing only six votes in the 111th Congress, just one less than Rep. Tim Walz missed.
While California Democrat Rep. Hilda Solis had the highest rate of missed votes — she missed 59 of 78 possibles votes — the number of missed votes by party is roughly the same: Democrats missed 3.5 percent of votes, while Republicans missed 3.3 percent.
Another Minnesotan high on the list: At number 23, Rep. Keith Ellison missed ten percent of the votes, casting 695 and missing 78. Here’s how others in Minnesota’s delegation fared:
Rep. Betty McCollum: 16 missed (2.1 percent of all votes), 757 cast
Rep. Collin Peterson: 25 missed (1.9), 758 cast
Rep. Jon Kline: 12 missed (1.6), 761 cast
Rep. James Oberstar: 10 missed (1.3), 763 cast
Rep. Tim Walz: 7 missed (1.3), 766 cast
Rep. Erik Paulsen: 6 missed (0.8), 767 cast

Bachmann’s Farm Subsidies...more will come out on this..and NO the questions have not been fully answerd.
Bachmann has said that the farm’s founder, her father-in-law, Paul Bachmann, is the only member of the Bachmann Farm Family Limited Partnership who ever applied for farm subsidies — a statement borne out by federal documents. He last applied for federal payments in 2007, and he died in 2009.
But federal documents and courthouse entries in Alma, Wis., show that a neighbor has picked up where the patriarch left off. The Bachmann family partnership signed a lease agreement with the neighbor in April 2008, and he is actively enrolled in the same FSA aid programs.
From 1995 through 2007, the FSA paid $259,000 in commodities and disaster subsidies to the Bachmann farm. Since 2008, FSA payments to the neighbor’s expanded operations have totaled $52,921, records show.
The Bachmann for President team didn’t respond to the Star Tribune’s inquiries about the farm, but a campaign statement given to Politico last month said her share of income from the farm is wrapped up in the family partnership, which she said was formed for estate planning purposes. Bachmann, her husband, Marcus, and their five children belong to the partnership but documents don’t say how much of it they control. Marcus has two brothers, and his mother, Elma, is still alive.

Not to mention she violated Reagan’s law and attacked Palin via her campaign manager; Perry, Newt and Cain’s 999 plan which she referred to as being more like 666. She also mentioned Trump as a potential vice president.
However, MORE than anything..I won’t forgive her for trying to take our disabled veteran’s benefits away ...she can go to Hades.
