Way to go with the vulgar name-calling - nice. NOT.

So it wasn't technically lobbying . . .

Gingrich Said to Be Paid About $1.6 Million by Freddie Mac:

Newt Gingrich made between $1.6 million and $1.8 million in consulting fees from two contracts with mortgage company Freddie Mac, according to two people familiar with the arrangement.

The total amount is significantly larger than the $300,000 payment from Freddie Mac that Gingrich was asked about during a Republican presidential debate on Nov. 9 sponsored by CNBC, and more than was disclosed in the middle of congressional investigations into the housing industry collapse.

[snip]

His primary contact inside the organization was Mitchell Delk, Freddie Mac’s chief lobbyist, and he was paid a self- renewing, monthly retainer of $25,000 to $30,000 between May 1999 until 2002, according to three people familiar with aspects of the business agreement.

During that period, Gingrich consulted with Freddie Mac executives on a program to expand home ownership, an idea Delk said he pitched to President George W. Bush’s White House.

Former Freddie Mac officials familiar with his work in 2006 say Gingrich was asked to build bridges to Capitol Hill Republicans and develop an argument on behalf of the company’s public-private structure that would resonate with conservatives seeking to dismantle it.

He was expected to provide written material that could be circulated among free-market conservatives in Congress and in outside organizations, said two former company executives familiar with Gingrich’s role at the firm. He didn’t produce a white paper or any other document the firm could use on its behalf, they said.

Ron Paul is now quoting the UN as a reliable source (re: Iraq). What is this guy doing in a Republican debate anyways?

Yup, the moderators trying to throw fast balls at Newt are simply giving him an opportunity to knock them out of the park.

To win this debate, it will take opening shots like Newt just pulled off. Newt did handle the attacks from Bachmann quite well.

Ron Paul is a complete Moon Bat. His National Missile Defense answer was out there with Michael Moore.

I think Fox News is more interested in ratings and who will need to buy the most ads. A true conservative can get the independent vote by motivated conservative activist, like Reagan did. Fox wants a RINO that will hire pundit/consultants/Fox News Commentors and who will buy the most ads.

It could be that a RINO is also more friendly to the MSM, of which Fox News has become a part of.

I like Paul because of his domestic policies and his son, Rand.
But cripes, the guy is off the wall on foreign policy...
really dangerous, to my mind.
He’s gotta go...

"I like Perry (Currently supporting Newt to stop Mitt), but he’s got to stop with the Part-Time Congress thing."

You've just hit upon the part I like most about Perry. But that's just me. ;o)

“One reason Glenn Beck had to go. They made a hard left turn but their ratings are slipping. The entire weekend is practically all tape.”

But I agree with Beck and he does agree with katiedidit1. beck wants the most conservative and people like Katie don’t. Upset about people going after Newt when they would cheer the same line of attack against Mitt. And I agree that Fox News is involved in it too because they don’t go hard against Romney.
