People forget that Newt taught war strategy to generalsAnd he is the ONLY one who has brought up the disastrous ROE that oboamami put in that has doubled the deaths of our troops in the first year - 2009, tripled them in 2010 and on the way to be even more this year - he is responsible for over 63% of the entire KIA in ten years!
NO ONE else remarks on it = none of other candidates or the mods - I suspect because they haven't a clue.
First thing Newt would do is end those Taliban favoring Rules of Engagement.

Newt won simply because he did extremely well against their attacks - this is now twice in a row where he's been at the top and dealt with the most attacks out of all of the candidates.
Bachmann was the big loser and it was of her own doing.
To: KansasGirl
Bachmann is attacking Newt! again Is she saying Newt supports infacticide? What is she talking about? This is where Bachmann has hurt herself before. She's trying too hard to find some issue to zap an opponent with, and she often makes a very flimsy case.
I think she was saying here that Newt had supported some Republican congressional candidates who favored some pro-choice issues; she was condemning him for not opposing any Republican who favored any pro-choice position at all, probably even if they were the only Republican with a chance of winning a race.

I like Perry more after tonight.
Would like to know who they would fill their administration with. If is is just recycling Bush people, Goldman Sachs, CFR that would be an issue.

The problem is Michele identified a tragic flaw in Newt.
Instead of explaining, he derided Michele as “inaccurate”, not factual.

Michele Bachmann’s performance tonight was disgraceful. Even she figured out how bad it was when she had to plead to the audience that she’s a serious candidate.
She distorted Gingrich’s position on abortion. I remember well that he sent a partial-birth abortion ban to Clinton twice and Clinton vetoed twice. I respected her early on. Right now she looks bad, very bad.
To: mylife
Krautheimer’s on now pushing the establishment line for Romney and talking down Newt. Also pumping up Bachmann obviously as a spoiler against Newt in Iowa.
