Not a penny - every time the govt shuts down in turns into another paid vacation for government leaches. Name a single time that workers didn’t end up getting back pay for the time out of work - doesn’t happen. Govt employees would *love* a shutdown around the holidays...more paid time off to enjoy the holidays.
Only in the “mommy agencies” like HUD and Education. The DOD and DHS guys prefer working.
