The proposal is not to tax the rich..but to tax highest income earners. There is a big difference. Many of the rich don’t have much taxable income..their wealth is in real estate, stocks, tax free bonds, trusts and valuables. Warren Buffitt has most of his wealth in Berkshire stock..which pays no dividend and only takes a modest salary. Most of his travel and expenses are business related.
If we proposed a tax on wealth..you would see these people singing a different tune.

But they should make their tax returns public.

as Oldexpat said, and we all know, it aint about what they can loophole from their income, for these eff you rich celebs...its all about how much they crush anybody else who dares to be uppity enuff to climb the wealth ladder, effectively diminishing their worldly status as the only ones...

that and thay are mostly socialist/communist/progressive scum who wont mind living in their gated palaces while the rabble outside washes their cars/jets...

but in simplicity, *somebody* with a microphone should toss the b!tch a pen and say,'why dont you cut a check and lead the way' ???

that would be good reality tv...
