Sadly most days I wouldn’t choose Freepers to be in the trenches with.
To all the FDR haters. WWII was not a minor dust up. 4 terms. Unfortunately most people don’t accept our analysis that FDR prolonged the depression.
Whatever. Newt is brilliantly positioned for the general election. I love it.
It's not that FDR prolonged the depression. It's just that, like the current resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, he used pointy-headed academicians who had no real-world experience to theorize us out of the doldrums. And he had an even MORE fawning press corps to tell the unwashed masses how brilliant he was.
Been reading "A Patriot's History of the US" by Larry Schweikert, and the parallels between BHO's policies and those of FDR are downright scary.
I just shrug at them.
They are pimping another candidate, and this is how they think they will help them rise in the polls.
And the numbers will increase dramatically with 10,000 Americans reaching 65 every day for the next 20 years. By 2030 one out of five Americans will be 65 or older, twice what it is now. And by 2030 there will be just two workers for every retiree down from the 42 workers for every retiree when FDR created the SS system. SS is the first mandate and Obamacare will close the circle with the last mandate putting the final nail in the coffin of this country.
Liberal historians like to annoint FDR as America's greatest President in the 20th century. The reality is that FDR sowed the seeds for the eventual destruction of the Republic.
Sorry. Gotta compare FDR to Reagan. It took FDR four terms and a major mobilization/war. Reagan won WWIII in two terms, with NO massive realignment for war. By any analysis, REAGAN was the greatest president of the 20th Century.
The FDR haters understand what he did to our country.
