I understand your need to give me information that may hurt my decision on Newt’s character. You can understand the need to clarify what is and is not true, correct?

Newt may end up being our alternative to Obama. I would prefer a truly conservative candidate like Santorum or Bachmann, but so be it. All I’m saying is — if we all get collective amnesia about who Newt is, his real political beliefs, and the way he conducts himself, we will have a problem when he wins the general and reverts, McCain-style, to his big government ways and his amoral way of betraying his promises.
Let me repeat. Newt is amoral, and if we as a group have made the decision to back him for the presidency, we better keep our eyes wide open and understand how he operates; we better think about ways we can make him serve conservative principles, or we’ll be living through Obama-lite.
