However, it is true that Newt brought his daughters to the hospital to see their mother, who was in the hospital bed recovering from the previous day’s surgery for what turned out to be a benign tumor, and then proceeded to get into a heated argument with her about the terms and conditions of their pending divorce. Newt is on the record confirming this story, and has said that he misbehaved at the hospital and deeply regrets the incident.
