I’m not voting for a RINO. Period.
You seem to have conveniently forgotten that the Tea Party does not belong to the GOP. It has members from every political affiliation filling its ranks. This is a bragging right we all share and endorse. It unifies us all as everyday Americans who put our country first before the aspirations of corrupt politicians.
The Tea Party is a grassroots movement that draws its strength from people believing in conservatism and the U.S. Constitution.
I don’t know any Tea Party member who would sell their soul to a RINO politician, like Newt. The entire concept of somebody from the Tea Party voting for somebody who is not conservative is irrational. It doesn’t equate.
The only thing I can think of is that there are RINOs trying to destroy the Tea Party’s influence and that there are faux-members who are using it for their own nefarious political gain, like Newt is trying to do.
Unfortunately for Newt, the Tea Party does not reflect who he is. We are better than Newt.
According to what I read here on FR, Newt has lots of support from Tea Partiers.
