As you mentioned, Churchill was in the military. Newt did everything he could to avoid service.

Churchill wasn't for sale to the highest bidder, like Newt.

The biggest difference was that Churchill always put what was best for Britain first and foremost. Newt's decisions are based primarily on what’s best for Newt.

Nothing I've read about Churchill hints at any corruption. Newt is the poster boy for soft Republican corruption.

Newt is like Churchill? No way. Newt is much more like the unreformed Captain Renault at the start of the movie Casablanca.
