Trump said Perry is a totally different and great guy when not debating. I think Perry has been doing quite well the last few times in the debates and particularly tonight. He does have a heart for the country.
Trump was really hurt that Michelle stood him up.
He thought she loved him. Oh, well.
Most people who know Perry think he’s a great guy.
Agree Perry has the heart, but as Commander in Chief, he would have to be "on" under worse pressure than these televised debates.
Perry would have to show rather than explain or even apologize for missteps in speaking. Perry is still not quite there and that is what is apparent now.
The Donald saying that Perry is better than what is seen does nothing for Perry. Trump could have hired a public speaking coach for Perry and that would have gone a lot further than Trump making some explanation about Perry.
Right now, we can't afford to see if Perry will ever catch up and get more confidence.
