Oh, yeah, Newt will be attacked on the marital fidelity thing.
Kinda on the basis that if one can’t be trusted in the marriage vows, maybe you can’t be trusted in other things.
That might have worked better 40 or so years ago but divorce is so common now, I don’t think it will sway many voters.
However, I do respect and admire marital fidelity.
And my worries about Newt are not connected as much to the marriage stuff as to my memories of other times, other Newts.
But I don’t want to beat up anybody on our side, ‘cept Romney.

All it takes is enough evangelicals and scorned ex-wives in swing-states to be discouraged from voting for Newt to push the election to Obama, and that we cannot have. Newt, as good as he is in debates, will be a hard sell.
