I’m not a Donald fan, but, I realize they are gun shy because he is considering a 3rd party run. Why do a debate if the moderator may perhaps run against you? The Donald debate is illogical. I’d bow out if I were a candidate.

Agreed. Plus anything Trump is involved with is only about one thing... Trump.
That and it is 2 days after Christmas.
I think a lot of the Candidates intend to spend time with family during Christmas.
Trump has been saying he might run for president since what, 1998, and he never does. It’s pretty clear he’s a paper tiger. No doubt it’s that various candidates don’t want to be tainted by the spectacle of a Trump debate.
