Takes far more than money to keep a country independent. It's been common knowledge for decades that the Shi'ite majority of Iraqis have been sympathetic to Iran (that's one reason why they instituted an Islamic constitution post-election, mind you with great chunks of Saddam-era laws, including identifying Israel as their number-one enemy in the Middle East). It's also been common knowledge that if Mubarak were to be ousted from power in Egypt, that the terrorists would take over there too.
So what am I wrong about? Are you saying that Iran deserves Iraq, simply because of the USA pulling out of Iraq? The terrorists deserve Iraq as a big prize handed to them by the USA with a virtual bow on top?
I’m saying that if the Iraqis don’t want to fight for their country, then they don’t deserve a country.
‘Cause it, obviously, means so little to them that they would not even be willing to fight for it.
And no amount of blood, sweat, toil, and tears of America will be able to change that about them, for it’s something *THEY* have to want/desire.
