Could there seriously be a fix among the gop establishment to block Newt? speculating on my part but I would never underestimate the republican insiders. Looks like the talking heads are not happy with the Newt surge (making fools of them)
Hang on to your hats folks..this will be one hell of an election. IF you are pro Newt...brace yourselves for a lot more than just normal mudslinging...they will do a “Scooter Libby” on Newt.
The excerpt I posted was towards the end of the article.

Brokered convention? BS, not likely.

Welcome to the United Soviet States of America..where the Pravda State Media “vet” the candidates to the pleasure and needs of the RinoCrat UniParty.

This “election” will be a non-election...featuring the state approved “candidates”-whose only distinction is whether they are black or white.

I think they left out one thing...

the voters!! :-)

you think the Tea Party is mad now....

wait until there’s a “brokered” convention. Then all heck will break loose.

The OWS will look like a peaceful event.

How did Reagan ever get around the Republican establishment that wanted his mic turned off?

Who else we got? Palin (I wish) or Rick Perry or Bachmann?

I looked up Ezra Klein in the dictionary and all they had was a cross reference
“See: Douche Bag”.

This is what happens during a brokered convention according to Wise Geek. “A brokered convention occurs in a US Presidential convention where no nominated candidate has received the needed delegates decided by primary election and caucuses to secure the nomination. If two people running in the primary elections are nearly tied in delegates as the nominating convention approaches, the decision of who will actually run for President is taken out of the hands of the people. Instead, it’s left up to unpledged delegates (called so by the Republican party) or the Democrat Party’s superdelegates”

Enter Romney?

If at a brokered convention the party establichment tries to force Mitt Romney upon the voters, it will likely destroy the G.O.P. forever.

And good damned riddance if they try it.

There’s this Politico story about all the Washington Republicans who hate Gingrich.

If this is true, then I'm starting to like Gingrich a bit more.

This is just blather because there is nothing really bad to report on Newt or to complain about Palin.

I never heard of a brokered convention until now..and though it is not probable..it could happen. If Romney and Newt are so close and neither has enough delegates to hit the target..it will be taken OUT of the hands of the people and up to the “undecided (plants) delegates”

Exactly. We hear the hysterical "brokered convention" talk every cycle and it just isn't likely to happen.

If Newt continues improving as a candidate and wins the nomination, the "establishment" will fall in line. They may fight him all the way, but if Gingrich proves too strong to stop, the folks complaining about him will just change their tune and declare he's grown as a person and a candidate.

Don’t like either one. However, that being said, I would rather have Newt than Mitt if I have no other choice.

The RNC will have to wait until after the primaries. This is where We get a chance to voice who we want with out them.

It’s going to be a battle, first with the established RINO’s then zer0

I’m betting the RINOS will be a battle, but neither one will be much.

They just don’t know how smoking bad we want this fight.

Both go down, America wins

Ezra Klein is a snot nose, little, whiney brat. He started the infamous journolist site that got busted for plotting to destroy republican candidates.

He’s a POS and NEVER has claimed to be objective. He’s not real bright either. Never has been accurate and just a slimey little jerk.

He has no knowledge of what is going on, he’s too busy shilling for another POS, obami.
