Didn’t I hear Newt say he could see Romney as his VP? REALLY? No way! That will not be the right person. A Chris Christie is needed. A Marco Rubio. Someone with some solid conservative creds who will bring something to the ticket.

I think he said something like he would "consider" him, nothing more. The press ran with that to rediculious extremes.

Like most conservatives, I WILL NOT vote for Mitt for anything. NOTHING....

If the Republican Establishment forces that, the party is over.

That was a slam, a cut, a thinly veiled insult, if you will.

Yes. He also said he could see Allen West as his VP. I'm sure he can imagine all kinds of people for a VP. I mean, the guy writes alternate history novels for fun.

You say: “Didn’t I hear Newt say he could see Romney as his VP? REALLY? No way! That will not be the right person. A Chris Christie is needed. A Marco Rubio...”

If you did a little GOOGLE you could find out who he’d like for VP and then you wouldn’t have to perpetuate that little piece meant to damage him.

http://townhall.com/tipsheet/elisabethmeinecke/2011/11/28/gingrich_mentions_marco_rubio,_allen_west_as_potential_running_mates

“Gingrich Mentions Marco Rubio, Allen West as Potential Running Mates...”

Rubio has said no. Col West is very open to it...and what an unbeatable ticket that would be.

And Newt is going to ask Bolton for Sec of State - and I suspicion he will tap Sarah for her expertise to get going on “Drill Here, Drill Now.”

These are the caliber people we need to save our country and set the Elitists out to pasture.

There are several reasons for Newt to say this. It makes Mitt look smaller. It makes Newt look better to Mitt’s supporters. And the biggest reason of all. Mitt has a lot of money, big backers, and an orginization already in place.

Newt knows he can do whatever he wants when he becomes president. VP is a title without a job. Let him spend the VP slot anyway he wishes.
