Then you support the abortionist candidate over the pro-life candidate.
If this is true about Romney, then NO I could not vote for the man at all. But that still doesn’t change my mind about Gingrich.
you say “but I would have rather seen the conservative base support “

Just who on earth do you think all those people that are for him ARE?
Gonna make that my bumper sticker - even though it may wrap all the way around the car -
The Raw truth.
Unfortunately, the "Bush Wing" - the ivy League Establishment Cabal - strong armed Reagan into taking GHWB as his Veep and to appoint other Cabal picks into his other appointments - that way, they just had to wait out his term and they were back in the drivers seat.
They know Newt won't allow this. He has already signaled he'd like Col. WEst for Veep - and Col West is open to it and he said he'll ask Bolton to be his Sec. of State.
That has to have the Establishment heads spinning.
"President Gingrich" spells the end for the Establishment Cabal. The bubbles will be gone from their champagne.
false - and I suspect you know it.

GREAT POST
You betcha! And we the people totally reject the establishment's business as usual choice. And they are incapable of understanding that. They never understood the implications or reason for 2010, and they're not going to know what hit them in 2012. We the people are determined to take our country back from the ruling class! I can see November from my house.
thanks for the link - am adding it to my “Newt Cache”

So Perry for me, Perry/ Palin I would love more then anything.
As far as the General I pray it will be Rick Perry but if not God help us all and America. I have no idea who it would be and am terrified to even think that far ahead.
I hear ya. But my suggestion is to let this play out a little longer before Gingrich gets the feeling he’s gotten a blank check from conservatives.
You post: “Not much choice choosing between Gingrich and Romney, but if I have to choose it will be Romney. Down deep in my gut Gingrich is not to be trusted, even less than Romney!”
scroll down to paragraph beginning with “On immigration, Romney could not have sounded tougher February 18 on ABCs This Week:

The Federal government has NO BUSINESS being involved in education in any way. That is a state matter.
But, before we get to that chapter, -- Wow! Do you even bother to do any research, or do you just parrot what you read on some other candidates website? -- I'm sure you know that Fannie and Freddie have always cost taxpayers huge amounts of money, thus making every dollar FredFan spends a dollar that's essentially made possible because of federal unpriced benefits to GSEs.
In 1996, for example, the CBO said that federal unpriced benefits to GSEs (such as exemptions from state and local income taxes and, more importantly, use of the federal government's credit standing without paying a fee for that privilege) amounted to almost $7 billion annually. Again, note that that was in 1996 dollars.
So, yes, I should have been more clear that Gingrich was not paid with direct taxpayer funds. He was just paid with money earned by a GSE that cost the taxpayers billions a year -- even before the 2008 conservatorship -- and which GSE would have gone out of business without all that costly free stuff from the taxpayers to float its operating funds.
So if we, the taxpayers, were all that was keeping the GSEs from insolvency, whether our cold, hard cash actually was used to pay Gingrich millions to "build bridges to Republicans on Capitol Hill" is a distinction without a difference, in my view. That said, I agree with you that I could have made my point more clearly.
Finally, let's not forget that it was the already costly free stuff -- in particular, the cost-free use of the federal government's credit standing -- that helped lead to this horrendous taxpayer hit:
Fannie, Freddie execs score $100 million payday:
NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- Mortgage finance giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac received the biggest federal bailout of the financial crisis. And nearly $100 million of those tax dollars went to lucrative pay packages for top executives, filings show. )
This might be a good place to ask, does anyone know the process for correcting wikipedia?
They’ve got the “death bed” meme on the Newt Gingrich page, in the first paragraph.
ping for later
I just got back from New Hampshire, to campaign for NEWT.
And several candidates have a great chance to finish ahead of ROMNEY in Iowa. I hear people talk about who they plan to vote for in their primary in April, but ...
The opportunity is now. WHy are people so reluctant to travel a few hours on the weekend and campaign? And you can really do quite much sitting at home calling a state.
Few are really participating in the process. We are all pundits now.
