Because Newt has a lot of Good Ideas and a lot of Bad Ideas and a running mouth that can’t control what comes out. Newt himself predicted that he would win if he was discipline enough....that’s the hard part
You nailed it. Newt has LOTS of ideas, and doesn’t have the wisdom to keep his mouth shut until he vets those ideas.
