This is a well-earned, well-deserved rift. It’s about time it actually showed up (that is assuming there are any democrats left that even pretend to support Israel). I hope trhe Democrats enjoy it and do make the most of it.

Yes, it's a long article.
No, this isn't about any major shift on the left, it's about Democrat infighting. Hardly anyone reads this stuff.
What is actually happening is that the discourse that lot of people in the Palestine solidarity community and activists have been engaging in is starting to break down the walls of the Washington bubble, said Ali Abunimah, a longtime activist and the co-founder of the site Electronic Intifada. But political intimidation from Israels supporters is still a much more powerful force than any change in thinking at the CAP.
Yes, that Ali Abunimah, friend of a certain Chicago politician. From wiki, some sources have more revealing insights. Per Debbie Schlussel he's the source of the Obama/Khalidi/Ayers/Dohrn tape the LA Times won't release.
Abunimah met Barack Obama on a number of occasions in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Abunimah has said that Obama regularly attended pro-Palestinian events during this period, and that he introduced the future president on one occasion at a fundraiser for the Deheishe refugee camp. The last time they spoke was in 2004.[5] According to Abunimah, in the winter of 2004 while running for the Senate, Obama told him, "Hey, Im sorry I havent said more about Palestine right now, but we are in a tough primary race. Im hoping when things calm down I can be more up front."[6]
Unfortunately when it comes time to vote I bet 70% of the Jews will vote for suicide and vote for Obama.
The Center for American Progress, and Media Matters...
Aren’t BOTH underwritten by the self-hating Jew, Soros?
