My Dad Has Graduated from this life about 22:00 Mountain Time. All: THX TONS 4 Prayers
Step-Sister's phone call | 7 Dec 2011 | Quix

Posted on 12/07/2011 4:39:55 PM PST by Quix

My Blood Dad is dying in great pain.

He has broken his hip the 3rd time. His vitals are too poor to operate.

They don't even know if they can move him at all due to the great pain.

He has reportedly made his peace with God and forgiven everyone.

Please pray that he graduates from this life as painlessly and quickly as The Lord would wish for him.

Sigh. BIG SIGH.

This is mother's birthday and the day her father died.

Sigh.

I know some prayer threads are in this forum. If this is not fitting, please move it where it is.

I'm more than a little discomboobalated.

Thanks in advance for all the prayers and caring so typical of all of you.

DEAR FATHER,
I lift up my Brother Quix to you in Prayer. I lift up his Father, who is suffering the pains of age and mortality. I pray that You will bring healing to his bones and to his heart, in Jesus Name.
Love
ML

Thankfully, his missionary Brother came up from Texas a month or 3 ago and insured that he was ready to meet the Lord and had forgiven everyone. PRAISE GOD FOR THAT. THAT WAS MY MAIN CONCERN.

I pray that your dear father has believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, has been forgiven and received the gift of eternal life.

In my Father's house are many mansions... I go to prepare a place for you ... and the way you know ... I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:2,4,6

This is nonsense.

Get him to a hospital and get a good specialist start a morphine drip until he is pain free. He will need a special “bedsore” bed or mattress, since he can’t move with the broken hip.

Even a very sick person can get the hip pinned, but if the bones are too rotten, stablizing the pain will eventually let it heal (I had to do this with two patients, one a 95 year old, another a very retarded girl, both with severe osteoporosis).

Morphine drips are tricky but are not “death making” medicine to kill him (although if he is “terminal”, he might die comfortably and pain free...I’ve had patients on them recover, since once the person is pain free and gets some sleep the body often gets stronger.

Pope Pius XII said this treatment, which can “shorten” life a bit at the end of life, is okay if you are not trying to kill the patient but to treat the pain.

If he doesn’t want to go to the hospitalfor fear of dying , arrange a “round the clock” watch...often neighbors or church members will help you with this, so he won’t be alone...

Father, may Your will be done, and if that is to take him home, may he enter Your presence with great joy and may his relatives and friends be filled with Your peace, knowing he is going home to You!

John 14:1-3

"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

Revelation 21:4

He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

Psalm 23:4

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Dear Jesus,

Divine Physician and Healer of the sick, we turn to You in this time of illness. O dearest Comforter of the Troubled, alleviate our worry and sorrow with Your gentle love, and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden.

Dear God, we place our worries in Your hands. We place our sick under Your care and humbly asks that You restore Your servant to health again.

Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge Your holy will and know that what soever You do, You do for the love us.

Amen.
