Glenn Beck characterized Newt Gingrich as a big government "progressive" in the Teddy Roosevelt mold during a radio interview. Beck criticized Gingrich for his support for government initiatives to expand healthcare and curb global warming.
It was a label that Gingrich embraced, saying that in the area of healthcare, "I'm a Theodore Roosevelt Republican and I believe government can lean in the regulatory leaning is okay," according to the transcript of the Glenn Beck radio show.

Another hint you can find out about Newts lobbying work on Obamacare if you search Newt and The Affordable Care Act (AKA Obamacare). Pharmaceutical companies paid him boat loads.
How about death panels and good old Newt...check out his relationship with Gundersen Lutheran - huge paying client to get medicare reimbursement for discussing end of life scenarios with patients. Newt’s father died there in 2006.
Of course publicly Newt voiced a different opinion about this when the death panel discussion was all the rage...but his checkbook and actions EXPOSE the truth.
