Republicans on a private Republican National Committee conference call with allies warned Tuesday that party surrogates should refrain from personal attacks against President Barack Obama, because such a strategy is too hazardous for the GOP.
"We're hesitant to jump on board with heavy attacks" personally against President Obama, Nicholas Thompson, the vice president of Tarrance Group, a Republican polling firm, said on the call. "There's a lot of people who feel sorry for him."

On the call--which Yahoo News was invited to attend because of a mistake by someone on the staff of the Republican National Committee--Ari Fleischer, the former press secretary for George W. Bush, encouraged Republicans to turn around the Democratic attacks lobbed at the GOP presidential candidates-- Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich, for starters-- for "flip-flopping."

“There’s a lot of people who feel sorry for him.”
Wondering who those “people” are. Unemployed? Under-employed? US Veterans?
Oh, wait. I know who they are, Republicans.
What a bunch asshats. They’re working over-time trying to lose the next election.
It's easy, effective and proper to personally attack Obama as long as you put the policy he personally implemented in the charge.
this is from the same mind that would have john mccain not talk about joe the plumber.
the leadership does not get it. we do not was nevil chamberlin.
They should be running against “Democrat policies” anyway, of which Zero is an epitome.
If not for the context in which they’re viewed I’d hate the republican party.
Why launch "personal" attacks when his politics and ideology are destroying the country? If the republicans don't want to attack his policies, we are all in a world of hurt.
My blood is boiling, too. Palin taken down, Cain taken down, spineless Re-pubes, our Republic in shambles, a Marxist president.....on and on. It just seems to never end.
That’s because he was not born in Hawaii (sarcasm?).
One word: ROVE!
But let's define personal attacks. Calling Obama a baby killer because he supports government funded abortion doesn't help the cause. But suggesting there is a sense of moral bankruptcy one could attain based on Obama’s record of support for “after birth abortion.”
Calling Obama Hitler is a personal attack. But suggesting there is some similarities between this president's policies and those instituted years before Hitler rose to power might not be a stretch (as Charlie Daniels did).
Suggesting that his governance MO has radical socialist/fascias roots and tendencies is not a personal attack.
Calling him unamerican might not be a personal attack, but it is pretty simple to use his own quotes and video to prove he is no fan of the constitution.
I wish they would empty that establishment GOP clown car and fill it with real conservatives.
Getting there with you, and fast. I am just so GD sick of this crap. I'm at the point (and I know all the arguments that a 3rd party means 4 more years of Hussein) that I still wish Sarah (or someone) would run independently.
The fix is in. The GOP party hacks are already rolling over.
The GOP is a useless party. Blame Boehner, Mcconnell, Hatch, McCain, Grahm, Rove, Krystal, Brooks, etc.
Who feels sorry for Obama??? Americans who adore the “Muslim Brotherhood”, Obama’s brethren who now control Egypt, that’s who, and...the MB will soon control Libya!!! That is the gift of Muslim hate and terror that Obama gives to the USA & Israel everyday. And......we should feel sorry for him!!! You have got to be kidding!!! Here’s my mantra against Obama!!! Attack him night and day....and expose him for what he really is, out to destroy the American Republic!!! That idiot John McCain played nice with him, kissed his you-know-what, and promptly got politically destroyed by “Hate America” Reverand Jeremiah Wright’s, man of action, hate & destruction, POTUS Obama!!!
Mistake? Doubt it.

I’ll call him a Fabian Socialist with suspect ties to radical left wing elements and leave it at that .. for now.

Gingrich Joins Cantors Effort To Remake GOP
Sorry about the double post. Also, Rush is talking about this as I type.
This makes sense. The GOP can’t risk losing the black vote.
