Religion is but myth and superstition that hardens hearts and enslaves minds.” I suppose it’d be rude to suggest that history shows that creed, in action, followed out to the end, has callused more hearts and enslaved more minds than any religion.

This could almost be right out of Lucretius. Maybe if they had stuck with Latin they could have snuck it in:
