NOt only that onyx, which I agree.

When I hear Mitt he sort of comes off as if he is talking to a segment of the Republican Party(conservatives) he is not thrilled about but has to appease.

When I hear Newt address his audience I get the picture that he's one of us. Not perfect but still one of us. Huge difference for me.

My husband is all in for Newt Gingrich to the point where he watches his interviews.

He liked Herman Cain very much but knew (or said) he was toast once the media smears and lies emerged and went poorly answered.

Bingo!

Newt has a conservative heart and mind, but he knows that to get things done you have to communicate effectively with others whose support you MUST garner - and that means you have to “appease” them (in a way) by showing you understand the rationale of their concerns and ideas. I could never do it - and so I will never be a pol. But someone MUST do it. And Newt knows how to do it. And his actual accomplishments (major laws passed on his watch) are conservative.

Newt is one of us ideologically.

Romney is the opposite.
