Hate...it’s not just Newt’s intellectual level...it’s his record and what his plans...and clearly layed out before he gets there.
There will be no time to waste with our country in the peril it is and Newt’s way ahead recognizing that it will take time to steer this ship around.... But he has a plan and the ability to act the fastest in getting Congress on board with him...he knows how to do that and his record has proven this time and again.
He’ll break the log jam there by whatever means is possible and not care what the fallout is to the democrates..h’e on a mission and has nothing at all to loose by giving it his all...no political asperations ahead...this is his time and I think he will do it for us.
Newt did a good wrap up. Don’t like Perry’s making the congress part-time. Michelle didn’t need to tell us she was a tax attorney. Paul was more of the same. Santorum wasn’t prepared at all and Mitt kissed ass.
I think everything you say it exactly right, and let me add an additional consideration:
Newt is not a whippersnapper, worried about his future career or the approval of others. He’s a grandfather, fighting for keeps, for his grandkids. This is his last stand, and I think Newt more than all the other candidates will automatically take the long view, and do what is difficult and right, not what is politically expedient.
He better do it before the press DESTROYS him. If he becomes our nominee, he will never be able to battle what’s coming his way and ours!!!
caww, I believe he is our hope and America’s hope. His final statement said it all..”don’t vote for me and go home..stay with me” he is a uniter and a fighter. I am going to fight for him all the way.
We do not need to elect someone at this crucial time and provide them with “on the job training” we need a man that knows how to move and shake up the damage Obama has done and that man is NEWT.
And then when President Newt, turns out to be much more like Nixon/Bush then Reagan, you all will be racing around here whining hysterically about him
