I like Perry. He's now my number 2 choice. But, he doesn't grasp the importance of killing Obamacare with legislation that says, "Repeal in its entirety." Kill the beast with legislation, not with an executive order that the ACLU can challenge in court.
The big problem with repeal is that we need a 2/3 majority in both the House and the Senate just to debate any changes. We can do it, if the voters are determined enough.
What Perry is talking about is to nullify and minimize as much of Obamacare as possible through EO and HHS rules. Repeal will take time and will require 60 votes in the Senate to pass.
It’s not like he won’t sign the bill repealing Obamacare. But he can’t vote on the legislation, so he’s telling us what he WILL do.
Rick Perry is going to try to void Obamacare by the executive branch. Nominate his Sec. of HHS and scrap all the rules because theres hundreds of rules that HHS makes.
