I sure hope to heck you're right. There are only two satisfactory outcomes to this that I can see: 1) Cain uses his considerable resources and connections to ferret out the truth and expose the lies and who is behind the liars, or 2) he 'fesses up and says "I'm human. I failed."
If it was a smear and #1 doesn't happen, we'll always be left wondering, won't we? And always knowing that good candidates can be torpedoed by vicious lies.

You might be on to smething here. Cain said he’s SUSPENDING his campaign. True, historically primary candidates who use similar verbiage typically have indeed dropped out altogether eventually, but he has not said he’s dropping out at this time. It would indeed be great if his atty’s have a few legal tricks up their sleeves. Not to mention to put that William Kuntsler in drag, Glorified Allmeds, as Michael Savage call her, down a few notches.
