I truly like Herman Cain as a person, but, not sure he’s ready for the presidency. Whether this latest escapade is true or not, it certainly shows poor judgment on his part. Meaning, he didn’t tell his wife. That sort of speaks cover up to me. And, if he gave money to help out a male friend (who he didn’t tell his wife) where is this male friend, and why hasn’t he come forward to exonerate Herman’s charitable gifts? What he wrote in that woman’s book bothers me somewhat too - “Friends are forever - everything else is a bonus.” Just what is that supposed to mean? He could’ve left off the last line and it would’ve been completely innocent.

And, he told Sean Hannity he didn’t want to play detective. Say what? If he wants to clear his name and reputation, then play detective - he must. I certainly would. But, to hide this from his wife just doesn’t pass the smell test. Also, the statement by his attorney about 2 consenting adults?? What the he** was that all about?

If he hides these kinds of things from his wife, would he give our U.S. money away and not tell the American people? I know that’s probably a bad analogy, but, just saying..........

I like Rick Santorum, but, he just isn’t gaining traction with the public for some reason. Howebeit, any of these candidates would be superior to zero. Unfortunately, some will stay home and not vote if their candidate of choice isn’t the nominee, thereby, ensuring the reelection for another 4 years of misery under this regime. What a sad field we have to choose from this election year.

I wish Sarah would’ve thrown her hat in the ring. Sure, the media has done everything to destroy this woman, and, sadly, even some on here have spewed the liberal talking points, but, I think she’d be a great president.

I agree with you on many of your points. It is over, and it is sad for many. In all of this, I feel bad for the family. The first few incidents of harassment were questionable in my mind, since so many women will use the harassment laws to make money. Even though I did not support Cain, I felt he was right to go on.

Apparently, his wife truly loves him to stand on that platform behind him today. I don't think I could show that much grace. He should go and take care of his family first. I was a little annoyed, when he tried to put his own failure on the MSM shoulders. Like you said, he had no intention of proving the accusation wrong and his lawyer's statement did the situation no justice.

IMHO, he should of flown home when he got wind of any of this story coming out. He could have owned up to it and gone on like Clinton. However, Monday morning quarterbacking is easy. Doesn't matter now, he needs to go take care of his wife and family.
