Sarah helped ease our burden. We could hold our nose and vote McCain. At least the old traitor was getting along in years. Sarah at VP would be much easier to get her to POTUS.

Alas we still lost.

If Mittens is the nominee Im out. Hand in my voter registration card its over batten down the hatches and prepare for the worst. Wife already has.

If Romney is the nominee, then it will be the end of the GOP as we know it.....(and I feel fine)

If he’s out, which seems apparent, I’m betting that 80% of his support will go to Newt based on the “we have to defeat Obama” argument and the rest to the “we love them but they can’t win” candidates: Santorum and Bachmann.

Then you were never a supporter. If you were, you would have gotten the rest of the story. I am sick and tired of weak-spined Conservatives like you. You will reap what you sew...

A genius plan that would probably push him to win him the presidency on its own....but surely too good to be true sadly!

If Cain is out, I will try to control my disgust and support Newt. He’s sleazy, revolting, and the ultimate insider, but he’s brilliant the 98% of the time when he’s not shockingly stupid.

Dittoes. Now how do we fit that onto a bumpersticker?

If they put in a RINO they will have just started the sequence to rerun the last POTUS election and yes Obama will get a second term.

“If he’s out, I’m going Third Party” This thinking is precisely what the media and the dems want to hear, this is what their campaign against us is all about. Does anyone understand that this country is at critical mass and our democracy is in deep peril? I will vote for ANYONE that gives us even a glimmer of hope. Because at this point, we have none. I will vote for ANYONE who can get the sleeper out of the White House. I will look for every positive aspect in our candidate and pray he or she is able to pull it off. BS or not Newt Gingrich will take it to Obama, and right now, RINO or not, he is my man.

Agreed. McCain was my fourth choice in 2008. I walked over hot coals while some of you cooled your heels. I wept for hours when Barack Damien Obama was elected and you didn't care that he wished nothing positive for the country. You (the hand sitters) didn't care! If you don't care this time you go down on the ash heap of history.

Why don't you just pull the leaver for Obama?

Stuff it, I was stuck with McLame last time, and I’ll be damned if I’ll let the GOP get away with it again...if it means the GOP is finished, then so be it. A new movement will rise for its’ ashes.

I agree with you a new movement will arise from the ashes and it is called ISLAM, with a little Marxist and Communism thrown in.

As if the GOP, in its current form, is going to do anything to stop it.

“Voting for RINOs is what brought us to do this day. It’s time to try something different even if it is difficult or uncomfortable.”

Difficult or uncomfortable? That’s an understatement. In my opinion, Gingrich is not a RINO, but let’s do it your way and say he is. These are our choices and whoever is the last man standing is my guy, I will walk through hot coals to help with a RINO’s election this year. Obama is a DINO, his true self is a terrorist sleeper, marxist occupying my house. You people blasting our candidates are doing a tremendous disservice, get on the bandwagon and find some positives and talk them up. THEY ARE A GREAT BUNCH OF CANDIDATES WITH TERRIFIC IDEAS AND POSSIBILITIES AND I LOVE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM.

Oh he definitely has some ‘splainin’ to do. Agreed.

No spouse can be made of stone. Mrs. Cain has feelings. And what has happened to Cain and his family in the public arena in the last month would rattle even the strongest of families.

Imagine if Cain has been completely faithful his entire marriage, and imagine if this is the first allegation of its kind in their entire marriage. That would rock Mrs. Cain to the core... because she isn't practiced at dealing with it.

Now contrast this with Hillary Clinton's reaction to Bill Clinton's first publicly exposed sexually escapades. Hillary took it completely in stride, and was ready and quick with the answer of standing by her man. Why? Because Hillary was EXPERIENCED at handling Bill's extramarital escapades. It was standard operating procedure for Hillary and Bill. And they were both politicians, so they both knew the “proper” and “standard” media responses when such things come up.

Neither Cain nor Mrs. Cain are experienced at “handling” these allegations. Doesn't that tell us that it is NOT a consistent theme throughout their marriage?

Something to consider. We will know within a couple of days, perhaps even tomorrow.

Yes, I read that yesterday in a statement from his attorney.

Then it's probably true. But let's not forget other statements people around Cain have made. Within 48 hours after Politico announced that two women had made harassment claims against the National Restaurant Association based on Herman Cain's actions, Cain's staff stated that it knew (not suspected, not thought, but knew) the identity of the one man who leaked the information. A man Cain said he had warned about one claim (because Cain said he only knew about one claim) when Cain was running for Senate.

Neither Cain nor anyone on the Cain staff ever explained how someone who didn't work for the National Restaurant Association and was only told by Cain of one woman was able to leak the story of two women. Because anyone he went to to learn about the second woman, or who knew about both women, could have also leaked the information. Including the former President of the NRA, a member of the Marriott family (i.e., a Romney friend).

But Cain and the Cain staff said it had to be only one man in the world.

And don't forget that Cain's campaign manager, Block, said that one of the accuser's mothers worked at Politico . . . but had to retract that statement about three hours later, two hours after the media reported that he was wrong.

So let's hope that Cain's attorney is better with facts than Cain, Cain's campaign manager, and Cain's campaign staff.

And, no, I'm not a Perry or Romney supporter. I was a Cain supporter, before he bungled so many policy questions. I should have known he was shallow on facts from listening to him so many years on the radio; I assumed the reason Neal Boortz had 1000% more facts was that Cain's style was to rely on his personality. Now I assume it was because Cain just didn't have the facts to use on the radio.
