If it is true that she and Mr. Cain had an affair of any length, she should have asked God to forgive her and then asked Cain to forgive her for her part in the affair. She should NOT have gone public with a very private matter. It would then be up to Cain to make it right with his wife.
In the interview, Ginger, with the obvious help of the interviewer, make it clear that some Atlanta paper was going forward with the story whether she cooperated or not. One of her friends, whom she must have told, ‘leaked’ the story and it was coming out.
I find it very hard to believe there is no documentation to back up her story. Nothing? Really? No pictures? No receipts? (sorry) No unique physical features? Nothing?
That said, as someone who very much liked Mr. Cain, I don’t think Ginger can just be washed away. Mr. Cain is going to have a radically uncomfortable converstaion with the Mrs. My guess is his entire world is about to come undone. Very, very sad.
