You don’t text much, right?
I just checked my texts for the month, and my billing cycle ends today. I’ve used 744 texts this month.
And it’s never “one a day” when you text. You are billed for the outgoing and the incoming text. So if White initiates a text, and it takes up 3 screens, that is 3 texts. Cain responds, that’s 4 texts. She replies with 2 more texts, that’s 6 texts. Cain responds, that’s 7. They each say “goodbye”, that’s 9 texts. And that is one very short text conversation, but it took 9 texts.
The actual record was:
October: 37 texts and 1 phone call
November: 46 texts and 0 phone calls
That could have been checking in once a week, for a 5-text back and forth (totalling 10 texts per contact).
Nothing about it says they had contact every day.
Yes, the texts could have added up as you suggest, but we don't know that.
Any way you parse these phone contacts, it doesn't quite pass the smell test IMHO.
And what about those middle of the night contacts? To me it indicates that the woman assumed a level of intimacy with a man that one would only have with a husband or brother - or someone she had had a sexual relationship with.
