PICKET: Source - Rahm Emanuel involved in Cain sexual harassment accuser attacks
Washington Times ^ | 11/02/2011 | Kerry Picket

Posted on 12/01/2011 4:39:34 PM PST by Fred

UPDATE -Mayor Emanuel is denying he is involved in anyway with the exchange of information regarding Cain's sexual harassment accusers.

Herman Cain's campaign is revealing suspicions about who is behind the story regarding the former unidentified employees who accused Mr. Cain of sexual harassment in the late 1990's.

According to a source who is friends with the Cain campaign, not only is the Rick Perry campaign involved but also the Mayor of Chicago and former Obama White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel is likely involved with the sexual harassment accuser attacks. A friend of the Cain campaign believes a National Restaurant Association (NRA) employee out of the Chicago office leaked the story to the Perry campaign via information and influence from Mayor Rahm Emanuel's office.

According to Politico's Jonathan Martin, Curt Anderson, the Perry advisor who the Cain campaign is accusing of leaking the damaging information, is denying the charges:

Why would a bunch of Democrats need to give fabricated info to a Republican campaign so it can relay the smear to the liberal-dominated media when the Democrats can simply save time and effort by having the lib media do it for them and cut out any middle man?

Ping and double ping. All you have to do is follow the motive. Both RINOs and their Marxist demrat masters have motive. I count among the RINOs who at least have carnel knowledge Perry and Romney. Gingrich may have a hand in it as well, but he’s playing Mr. Civility right now. Probably only because it will further the image he’s trying to convey of being eminently reasonable.

This guy, Reagan 69, is either an outright lurker or a “bot” for one of the RINOs.

I think Cain suffers from paranoia. It isn't Cain who said this, it's : " a source who is friends with the Cain campaign," which is another way to say it's someone who is not in the know, or more likely a figment of someone's imagination.

It IS common, and pathetic, in corporate America that frivolous claims are settled at nuisance cost. Yes, 35K and 45K is a lot of money, but it is below what is considered nuisance cost in these types of cases.

You have NO insight into the allegations, terms, conditions or anything related to those claims because they are sealed - only hearsay... so you have no hard facts at all.

As for other women, I have no cold, hard facts There you are admitting a cold hard fact.

You just don't realize you have no facts at all - yet you are eager to participate in the destruction of a man based on hearsay. I can't be party to that.

Agree with what was said in 21, none of the blame shifting is logical, for days now. So many right here may be looking right into the eyes of a compulsive liar and not even recognize it - totally bazaaro to the max - child like or worse sociopathic -

It sounds to me like what our world’s history has seen before:

Roman Senators buying their way into the role of Emperor of the empire, or worse still...

Rich Italian merchant families buying their indulgences and ultimately the exalted position of Pope of the Catholic church.

Only one of the two has survived, and even then it carries the scars of a turmoil that exists even today.

What will our country’s legacy be I wonder?

and yes, the margarita is randomizing my thoughts! :)

This getting more and more ridiculous. The first accuser worked in Mayor Daly’s office before working for Axelrod. I’m not sure if she is the same woman who lived in Axelrod’s building, but I think that it was the second woman, the one who hired Gloria Alred who lived in the same apt building as Axelrod. The first woman may have connected the two. At any rate, Axelrod is a common denominator.

Perry’s campaign didn’t need to be informed because Cain had already informed someone, on the Perry campaign.

So Cain’s RINO opponents and their Marxist demrat masters have sent something like 8 bimbos after him with unprovable, but salacious stories. Most of these women’s claims—if even true—amounted to nothing more than a passing flirtation. In any case, none of these women have proven anything they say happened even occured. This incudes the last bimbo who claims she had a 13-year affair with Cain.

You’re wrong about Cain being paranoid. He has every reason to believe they are, in fact, trying to lynch him.

Only an immoral person would see it any other way.

Yes, 35K and 45K is a lot of money, but it is below what is considered nuisance cost in these types of cases.

I have heard at least a dozen attorneys and HR Directors comment on the cases. They have, every one of them, agreed that the standard settlement for a "nuisance" suit is $35-45K.

Why?

Because the insurance company tells them that will be their minimum cost if they take the case to court.

In other words, a $35-45K "settlement" (which may, in fact, be a severance) -- in which the plaintiff pays 1/3 to her attorney and 1/2 of the investigative costs (depositions, etc.) -- will normally net the plaintiff around $18-20K..."to go away".

Thus, such a "settlement" should be completely ignored from the standpoint of assigning guilt.

PING to the list!

As if we couldn't have guessed this one.

As I said earlier this evening on another thread:

Who's Going After Herman Cain?

Ask yourself these questions:

Which two GOP candidates have the most money?

Which one of them has the most to gain from Cain leaving the race, meaning, which one would Cain supporters pick?

You will have your answer.

The lib media are a bunch of boneheads and do not have an original thought, they merely embellish whatever AP puts out every night and then put it in their rags and tweet it.

Lib media could be replaced with a scrapper bot in fact it is a big way sites populate their site now.

You can bet the Chicago Mafia of Deadfish and Axelrod are involved. Heck she lived for while in the same building as Axlerod. Could they have then leaked to Perry Campaign hoping not to have been caught by the Perry campaign. Heck yes. They are dirty as charged.

“Those of us who supported Cain dropped him because of his poor performance, not these alleged scandals. If he had done better, we’d be demanding investigations and the truth. But what for at this point?”

1) To restore Herman Cains good name

2) To expose the Demorcats dirty ticks machine....this is the same garbage Nixon and his people people did. It was wrong and and they all got caught and punished. The Obama machine should be exposed and punished to0. But perhaps if Nixon was a Democrat, he might of gotten away with it.

By 1998 Obama was VERY well known, and had already made quite a splash by winning a Senate seat. Thus it was at least by that time he was well on his way to being cultivated as a future Democrat presidential candidate.

After all, it was in that campaign that Obama's smearticians such as Axelrod, conducted a similar scorched-earth campaign against his opponent to what is going on now.

It's not as if running for president is something one does on the spur of the moment no matter which party. Each party pays very close attention to the other's rising stars, speakers and commentators, just as professional baseball scouts do when looking at players around the league either for promising recruits or for studying opposing team's players so as to know how best to deal with them on game day.

“Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.”

This commandment from God is actually far worse than just “lying”. It involves maliciously going public with false accusations designed to injure someone else.

This kind of liar is in a particularly dangerous position with Almighty God.

All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. And, the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life that comes to us through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Well said. There is a long way to go in this pres. campaign. I think Cain has weathered the storm. Each of the bimbos stories got progressively harder to believe.

Of course, Cain’s opponents may go so far as to accuse him of pedophilia or beastiality. Don’t think that’ll happen. This last wench was the one who they thought would finally demoralize Cain and he would drop out. Instead he stuck a finger in their eye.

In a week or two Cain can begin using this blatent attempt to lynch him to regain the squeamish sots who deserted him because of unprovable allegations. I think it will work out for him in the end.

A lot of has have not abandoned him. We continue to send him money. Cain’s opponents hoped to negatively impact Cain’s fund raising. Despite the media feeding frenzy Cain’s fund raising continued apace. The last lier’s story was intended to put the nail in his coffin. It will not work.
