In many ways, Newt is the perfect man.
He knows how to buy good jewelry. He puts his wife ahead of his campaign. Hes so in touch with his feelings that he would rather close the entire federal government than keep his emotions bottled up. Hes confident enough to include a steamy sex scene in a novel. He understands that Paul Revere was warning about the British.
Mitt Romney is a phony with gobs of hair gel. Newt Gingrich is a phony with gobs of historical grandiosity.
The 68-year-old has compared himself to Charles de Gaulle. He has noted nonchalantly: People like me are what stand between us and Auschwitz. As speaker, he liked to tell reporters he was a World Historical Transformational Figure.

I totally dislike him. Will not vote for Newt.Yeah, it looks pretty much down to Perry, Cain, and Santorum, and Santorum's chances look as slim as Bachmann's at this point. So there's your choice - - Perry or Cain. Personally, I'm not crazy about either of them, but could definitely vote for either.

Smell the desperation. From mo it is particularly stanky.

He had Clinton on the mat and let him come back and win reelection in 1996. He totally misplayed the government shutdown and let the Republicans be painted as the bad guys. Newt was basically neutered after that. Your whole post is dead on. Great post, and I agree 100%. I followed that fiasco very closely and my jaw dropped when Newt ran like a scared bunny rabbit from the Democrat newsrooms just when it looked like the mindless chattering class was beginning to truly understand the issues and turn against Clinton.

That’s Catherine Zeta Jones, who stole the heart of the love of MoDo’s life, Michael Douglas. Not hardly MoDo, even on her best day.

Any conservative who votes only for their own like or dislike in this election, is NOT A TRUE CONSERVATIVE and does not really believe in our country as the founder wanted it to be. OBAMA IS WHO WILL WIN if you do not vote for the best conservative who is up as our candidate.
If anything, vote only to protect SCOTUS. We can not survive another two justices like sodaminor, or kegal and our republic is finished if obama gets to appoint two more like those.
So do not be selfish, think of our grand children, and our republic. Two justices will get to be appointed during the next presidential term. We already have proof of the types that Obama will appoint.
Liberals and their allies are not look at anything else than control of our republic for generations to come. So vote accordingly.
It really is not your vote. Because of SCOTUS, this election is for generations to come. Do not saddle them with liberals! That would be just cruel and thoughtless. That is a liberal.

My idea of a horror film would be
The real horror would be if obama wins another term, even though we have proof of who he would appoint to SCOTUS. So for obama that would not be conservatives!
Only adults will be smart enough to vote ONLY TO WIN SCOTUS.
That means anybody but Obama for president.

I tend to agree with your position on this in that the issue is actually national survival; after the country has been "fundametally transformed," we'll look back and wonder what was the point of being so @#$% picky looking for non-existent perfection in a candidate.
Frankly, a man like Newt has enough knowledge of how things work to start rolling back the damage done by the progressive movement.
That said, it's awful presumptious to tell people what it is to be a conservative. Not to be crass, but who died and made you judge?
To: stormhill
Someone who signed up just before me on 10-19-1998. He said to always follow the logic of the situation. Therefore, the fact I never have had another conservative take issue with me bringing up the issue of "think carefully about your conservatism".
Real conservatives never seem to take issue of anyone reminding them to think that way... before they vote... so sorry if you feel offended in some manner! Have a great day on FR!!
