Washington - Herman Cain's polling numbers have been falling. The allegations of sexual harassment have taken a toll. So, DCDecoder wasn't even sure it was worth posting about the latest embarrassing revelation to hit the Cain campaign.
But this particular detail - where Ginger White, the woman claiming to have had a 13-year adulterous relationship with Herman Cain, gives the reporters from Fox 5 in Atlanta her cell phone bill and the reporters text one of the numbers and get a callback from Cain himself - was just too much to pass up.
Accordting to Fox TV 5 in Atlanta:
She [Ginger White] showed us some of her cell phone bills that included 61 phone calls or text messages to or from a number starting with 678. She says it is Herman Cain’s private cell phone. The calls were made during four different months— calls or texts made as early as 4:26 in the early morning, and as late as 7:52 at night. The latest were in September of this year.
“We’ve never worked together,” said White. “And I can’t imagine someone phoning or texting me for the last two and a half years, just because.”
We texted the number and Herman Cain called us back. He told us he “knew Ginger White” but said these are “more false allegations.” He said she had his number because he was “trying to help her financially.”

There are people in this world who will do anything for money. Ginger strikes me as being one of that type.

“I was on a conference call at 11:15am this morning with Herman Cain himself, where he explained to us that, once again, the accusations against him are COMPLETELY FALSE. He ALSO explained that he is NOT considering dropping out of the campaign, despite what the media is reporting. The campaign is moving forward as planned. Additionally, he shared that Ginger White WAS a friend of his (and his wife’s) and she was a struggling unemployed single mom who received several eviction notices due to being unable to pay her rent. So being the good man that he is, Mr. Cain helped her out financially as a FRIEND, as he has done for other friends in the past.”
When asked what the reassessment was about - Winne replied, “I was on the call, I did not hear the words “REASSESS THE CAMPAIGN”, I heard, ‘we need to assess the situation (the damage) over the next couple of days and continue to MOVE FORWARD.’ He said NOTHING about considering to drop out. He didn’t even INSINUATE it.”

In a morning conference call with his advisers, Mr. Cain said that he would make a decision in the coming days about whether to stay in the race after his campaign was rocked by another round of allegations about his sexual conduct.
"To or from" Cain's phone number is a whole lot different than "from" the number. For all we know at this point, Cain may have contacted Ginger three times, while she contacted Cain 58 times.
The jest of this....if this is true...he has to be a total idiot for running while this was over his head. But at this point...if I were the Democrats....I’d start to wonder who is mining for Obama love interests from the 1990s. Someone will eventually find something.

I need more proof than someone texting and calling a number to say it’s an affair.
I looked at my text and phone calls to just a friend who’s a girl and I had over 200 but I guarantee I’m not having an affair.

By the way, this woman was a friend of Cain AND his wife’s so stop pretending like he was hiding some friendship from Gloria.
61 calls or text messages. One text conversation could account for that. What did the text messages say? They didn’t release anything, so I’m guessing there is nothing there.
He didn’t reconsider?
