Because he had a 13 year affair with her. That’s why his attorney is equivocating. Over a 13 year period, there will be people who will have seen them together, hotel records at places she says she stayed with him, etc. More will come out now.
If that happens to be true, shame on him for thinking he could run for president and it not come out.
I think he made a poor judgement helping someone who has a questionable background. And to top it off the contradiction between his statements and his lawyers statement is disturbing for someone wanting to run the country.
Either way I am frankly disappointed.
