6 1/2 months ago Newt calls us Radicals and Righ-Wingers. Less than a week ago he calls us Inhumane.

I don't get how conservatives can want Newt Gingrich as POTUS with all his recent rheotric, much less his historical progressive behavior while serving in the United States House of Representatives.

Newt's 2nd wife said in an interview that while Newt is loveable, his main motivation in life is to "be somebody".

The 2nd wife wasn't useful enough to Newt to get him where he wants to go, so he married Callista.

Gingrich is primarily power-hungry...his core values vary from day to day.

I would vote for Newt vs. Obama, and would hope that something could be accomplished under him with a GOP House and Senate, but I wish there were better choices in the running.

My first choice would have been Haley Barbour. But he apparently was too "RINO" for the Tea Party crowd. I knew that the hyper-enthusiasm for Bachman, Cain, and Perry on the right would wane...and so it has.

The MSM has about 50 different ads/issues against Newt if he gets the nod.

Yeah, but Newt’s affairs and sexual indiscretions are in the past, and he is a super-duper, policy wonk who knows how to play the Washington game.

Hahaha. I can see them running these spots if Newt gets the nod. Oh, man, you can’t make this stuff up.

I am tired of the hit peaces on Newt here at FreeRepublic. Any one of the Republican candidates hold the USA in highest regards! Enough already. Write your hit pieces about liberals!

I don’t, never did. I think Belling was right yesterday in that the rank and file voters in the Conservative movement have had it. We want someone who will STAND UP TO THIS CRUD! No one ins now....and we will be defeated if we don’t.

Yea, only our little Republican primary voters could define “change” as switching from Romney to Newton Leroy Gingrich.

Mittens and Newton are both descended from the 1968 Nelson A. Rockefeller campaign. Rockefeller entered after George W. Romney exited the field to Nixon, who masqueraded as a “moderate conservative,” whatever that is. Nixon later put George Romney in the Cabinet, and Ford, another Republican failure, tapped Rockefeller as the first VP.
