I remember a thread a few weeks ago where I got flamed for not agreeing that the government should have taken Elien (spelling probably off) Gonzalez from his father.
People here on FR decided that because we didn’t agree with how he chose to raise his son, we had the right to take the boy from him. I was the only one who thought it’s wasn’t our business what politics the man believed in.
But when the Fed disagrees with us, people now cry government over reach. Which is it? Should the Fed take children at will, or stay out of family’s business?

I haven’t seen anyone respond to your question, but I wanted to let you know that I agree with you 100% on Elian Gonzalez. You’re not alone on that one. His mother died, so obviously his father has the right to his son. Period. You live your way and leave me alone to live my way. Anything else to me seems hypocritical, IMHO.
