Joseph Smith claimed divine inspiration for the claim that American Indians were descended from Israel. If he is wrong on JUST THIS ONE ISSUE any and ALL other "divinely inspired scripture" from the Book of Mormon or any of the other so-called "inspired" works becomes null and void.

It doesn't take long AT ALL to find devastating and conclusive evidence against his claims.

LDS researchers compare existing genetic evidence with the Book of Mormon story

Mormon researchers such as anthropologist Thomas W. Murphy (who is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints, henceforth LDS) and former-LDS and molecular biologist Simon Southerton state that the substantial collection of Native American genetic markers now available are not consistent with any detectable presence of ancestors from the ancient Middle East, and argued that this poses substantial evidence to contradict the account in the Book of Mormon. Both Murphy and Southerton have published their views on this subject.

What has the DNA from native Americans proven? There is no Semitic tie to Israel.

THIS disproves your whole religion in the same way that disproving the virgin birth or the resurrection would negate the WHOLE Christan religion. NONE can be true unless the first be established.

Jon, to me the absolutley most damning thing about the entir story of mormonism is the Joseph Smith Translation of the Bible.

Think about this, the root of the entire religion, the first vision...The reason for it all....:

1. God(s) appear to Joseph Smith, tell him not to become a Christian or use the KJV bible because it is corrupt.

2: Smith writes the Book of Mormon. LDS Sect to this day call it "The most correct book on earth".

3. Smith "retranslates" the entire bible under God(s)ly command over a period of several years.

4. Brigham Young, rather than pay for rights to the JST, declares it a fraud after Smith's death. LDS SECT breaks away from mormonism.

5. LDS sect USES KJV Bible and increasingly claims to be Christian.

Quite disrespectful and disobedient of God(s) and FLDS/LDS "Prophet" Joseph Smith if you ask me.

Watch, Saundra CANNOT force her brain into the pretzle it takes to defend this, and will not respond. Instead she'll "answer the question that should have been asked" like her sect leaders have taught her. Even a trained, experienced Lawyer cannot spin this issue AND DEFEND THE FACT THAT HER SECT BELIEVES THAT SMITH WAS A PROPHET OF GOD(S), AND A FRAUD ! Hey Jon,

Did you know that the main selling point used by their missionaries, "families can be together forever", and the "plan of salvation", was actually ripped off by Smith, in detail, from a guy named Emmanuel Swedenborg ? There are even library records still in existence showing that the FLDS/LDS "Prophet" checked out this 1770's era book about a dozen times ?

In the interest of honesty, I'd liek to help them reword one of their favorite songs...
