I’m not at all familiar with Oregon law, but it’s likely that a governor has the power under the law to cancel an execution.
Doesn’t mean he’s not a pinhead. As a governor of Oregon, that’s likely too!
Correct, but my point was if he is the top officer of the state, he has the power and persuasion to have most any law fixed that still provides for the ultimate punishment. His method was for the lazy way out.
I hope Oregon residents enjoy paying to keep killers alive for the rest of their lives.
